inRadium User Manual

For macOS (AU / VST3). The plugin interface is in English; this manual explains how to use it.

inRadium is your "personal player": record a phrase in your DAW, pick an instrument, click once, and get the matching instrument part — then drag it straight into your project.

1. Install & Sign In

1. Double-click the installer inRadium-*.pkg and follow the prompts to finish installation (admin password required).
2. Restart your DAW. On first load Logic Pro runs a plugin validation — just choose "Pass".
3. Load inRadium (AU or VST3) on the track you want to use as reference audio. The plugin is designed to generate instrument performances for an existing arrangement; it does not guarantee good results when a lone vocal track is used as reference. We strongly recommend summing all your reference stems into one bus, removing or minimizing the vocal track, and then loading inRadium on that summing track.
4. Once open, you'll see the sign-in card: enter your Email and Password, then click Sign In.
   - No account / forgot password? Click Register / Forgot password and sign up or recover on the web page that opens.
   - It remembers you after the first sign-in and logs in automatically next time.

The plugin only works after you sign in.

2. Interface Overview

From top to bottom:

• Title bar: name and version on the left; the ‹ Part N › segment switcher in the middle; status text and the top-right "…" menu on the right.
• Recorded audio (top waveform): your recording. The top-right corner has Mute and -6 dB (lower the volume).
• Transport bar: ⏪ rewind, ⏩ forward, ⏮ back to start, ▶ play/pause, ⏺ record.
• Stem audio (bottom waveform): the generated instrument part. Also has Mute / -6 dB.
• Bottom left: a style dropdown + a text box (optional, describe the sound you want).
• Bottom-right buttons:
• Use Version 1 / Use Version 2
• Upgrade Sound Quality (Max)
• Transpose to + Drag into Track
• The main button at the bottom: Play <instrument> for Me

3. Three Steps to Get Started

① Record

On a reference audio track in your DAW (e.g. a summing track containing several tracks, or an audio/MIDI track missing a certain instrument), load the plugin and play the track. Click ⏺ on the plugin to start recording, then click again to stop — or click ⏺ first to arm pre-recording, then play and stop from the DAW transport to capture the reference phrase.
- Record at least 20 seconds before you can start creating.
- The top waveform updates in real time while recording.

② Pick One Instrument

In the INSTRUMENTS area, check one instrument (single choice):
Acoustic Gtr, Electric Gtr, Piano, E-Piano, Drums, Bass, Strings, Synth FX.
Pick a style at the bottom left (default Pop), and optionally describe the sound you want in the text box, e.g. bright modern pop, warm electric guitar, tight drums.

③ Click the Main Button

Click Play <instrument> for Me at the bottom (the button shows your chosen instrument, e.g. Play Electric Gtr for Me).
- After a moment, the status bar shows Playing... with elapsed time, and a small ring in the top-right shows progress.
- When done, the instrument part loads and starts playing automatically, and both waveforms play together so you can listen and compare.
- On some older equipment or systems, you may need to Enable Monitoring on the track containing the plugin in order to play audio through it.

Guided hints: if there's no recording, you'll be prompted to record first; if it's under 20 seconds, you'll be told it needs to be longer; if no instrument is selected, the instrument area flashes to remind you.

4. Audition & Pick

• You get two versions each time. Switch between them with Use Version 1 / Use Version 2; the selected button lights up.
• While a version isn't ready, its button is grey; once ready, the button lights up and flashes to tell you it's clickable.
• Clicking the current version again = deselect, and the transport returns to the top recording.
• The two waveforms play in sync: your recording on top, the generated instrument below, for easy comparison.
• Mute / -6 dB: each waveform has a pair in its top-right corner. Mute silences that track; -6 dB turns it down a bit; both toggle independently.
• Use the transport ▶ play/pause and ⏮ back-to-start to audition.

5. Further Adjustments

• Upgrade Sound Quality (Max): swaps the current instrument for a higher-quality version (the bottom waveform turns orange). Requires Max membership and costs 50 credits each time (after the first upgrade of a version, switching to other instruments on that version costs no extra. Note: the quality upgrade offers no absolute guarantee — actual results may vary). To go back to the standard version, click Use Version 1/2 (the waveform turns blue again).
• Transpose to: try a different instrument. Clicking it opens a menu on the left listing the instruments you have access to; pick one to switch.
• Shift / Stretch (fine-tune boxes, appear to the right of the transport bar after you enter audition): align the generated part more tightly with your recording.
• Shift (ms): move the whole part earlier or later.
• Stretch (ratio): make the part longer/shorter (slower/faster).
• The bottom waveform previews in real time as you drag; reset to default to restore.

Tip: whichever button below is highlighted is the sound the bottom waveform plays, always in sync with the top recording. Blue = standard version, orange = high-quality version.

6. Put It Into Your Project

There are two ways to put the finished part into your DAW:

1. Drag (recommended): hold the Drag into Track button and drag it into your DAW's arrange area, dropping it at the start of the project — a new track is created automatically and the audio aligns to the project start, so the part lands exactly in place.
2. Save as file: simply click Drag into Track, choose a folder in the dialog, save it as an audio file, and import it yourself.

7. Multi-Part Arrangement (Parts)

To score different sections of a song (verse / chorus…) separately, use the Parts feature:

• Title bar ‹ Part N ›: the left/right arrows switch parts; double-click the part name to pop up a list and jump quickly.
• Each part is independent: its recording, version, instrument, style, text, and Mute/-6 dB are all saved separately and don't affect each other. Switching back to a part restores its state.
• On the last part, once the current part has a finished section, press › to create a new empty part. The maximum number of parts is set by your membership tier.

You can't switch parts while recording or generating; stop first and wait for the current process to finish.

8. Menu & Account

Click the top-right "…" to open the menu:

Generation and quality upgrades consume credits; check your remaining credits here, and click Buy Credits to purchase or Upgrade Membership to upgrade your tier.

9. Tips & Troubleshooting

Play ... for Me does nothing?
Check three things: whether you're signed in, whether the recording reached 20 seconds, and whether an instrument is selected. The screen shows the relevant hints and flashing guidance.

Does the status bar prompt Enable Input Monitoring (I)?
In some older versions of Logic, you must enable input monitoring for the track to hear audio while playback is stopped. Simply activate the monitor button (I) on the track; the audio will play, and the prompt will disappear automatically. Newer versions do not require this step.

Use Version 2 is grey and unclickable?
That version is still being prepared. Once ready, the button lights up and flashes — then click it.

Want to go back to the standard version after an Upgrade?
Click Use Version 1/2 to switch back to the standard version (the waveform turns from orange to blue).

Not aligned well enough?
Use Shift / Stretch to fine-tune until the generated part aligns with your recording.

Recording won't stop / times out?
Recording has a maximum length (set by your membership tier); it stops automatically at the limit, and the status bar shows a notice.

A verification page pops up on screen?
Follow the on-page prompts to continue.

See a red ERROR?
Hover over ERROR to see details. Usually retrying a bit later works; if it keeps happening, check your network connection, and if the problem persists please contact us.
